Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present): Sif was born of Asgard, a child with Thor and his brother Loki and raised alongside the two. She was thought, from an early age, to be the intended paramour of one of them and her affections were clearly leaning to the fairer of the two. He matched her own look so well, for she was a radiant beauty with a head full of golden hair so fine it shone like liquid light.
Loki, possibly in a fit of jealousy, but surely in his prankster nature sneaked in while Sif slept one night and cut her glorious hair. When she awoke Sif was beside herself with grief, how could she live with her beauty lost to her? How could she face anyone? She hid in her chambers and wept for days. Loki was commanded to make good on his prank and he saw to the creation of a magical wig for her, he presented the gilded locks to her and when she put them on they rooted as her own hair. Her locks restored soon turned black as night; Loki had tricked her twice. She returned to her fits of weeping over her lost radiance.
Sif's parents were wise and, like most of her people, intolerant of such self indulgent vanity, and so Sif was sent off to learn how to fight. It was felt that such intense training, far away from those who she normally interacted with, would strengthen her and allow her to rebuild her self worth. The plan worked beyond anything they could have imagined.
Sif excelled at battle, especially in strategy where she had a keen and natural mind to apply her smaller size and lighter eight as advantages over those larger than herself. In short order, barely more than a decade, she returned a full fledged warrior. Upon her return Thor and Loki could hardly recognize her.
Sif took her place with pride and honor among the finest warriors of Asgard, she made her mark as a fine tactician and leader and earned herself a place among her people as the Goddess of War. Her affections were still turned the eldest Odinson, but his mind had turned to the fancy of fighting and he was too enraptured with his own might to love anyone. Being a Prince of the realm she hardly call him out on it, at least not at that time. So they fought, side by side for many years.
Sif allowed her heart to be open to others and found love, for a time with a warrior named Haldor. He fell under the hypnotic sway of Lorelei the enchantress. He was not only stolen away from her but used as a pawn to further Lorelei's agenda. A rift formed between the two women that would only grow deeper and more intense over time.
Sif rejoined her friends and became a warrior of acclaim with the Warriors Three, Thor and Loki. Thor would soon be called to assume the throne, though he still had his brash childish attitude. that recklessness cost him the throne with an ill timed rebellion against his father to storm Jotunheim in retaliation for the interruption of his coronation and theft of an important artifact.
Sif accompanied Thor and the Warriors Three along with Loki, a fierce battle ensued and was ended by Odin himself. The All Father frowned on Thor's impulsiveness and banished him until such time as he might learn humility and wisdom and with it earn his place back in Asgard. Sif lamented his banishment but she had a duty to serve her king, she did so until it was proven that the banishment and indeed the earlier attack were orchestrated by Loki in a bid for the throne.
When Loki commanded the weapon of destruction, the Destroyer to Midgard to finish off his 'mortal' brother, Sif gathered the warriors Three and journeyed their to aid him. If he was to die, then he would die among his friends.
But Thor was triumphant in the end, and she saw such change in the boy who had left and the man he'd become. Willing sacrifice, no glory sought, only to protect even these humans. Surely he was fit for the crown now, and perhaps after so long they would reunite. But neither was to be, Thor declined his place on the throne, understanding he had much yet to learn and his heart held a claim on Earth that nothing else could touch.
Sif quietly accepted his choice, she did not take great pains to make her feelings veiled though. And when it seemed he might be unable to be with his Midgard love she though again that they had found their place together. Nothing could ever be so easy.
Loki once again was devious and his plotting nearly killed Thor and had his divisiveness not been in play they might not have lost their dear Queen. Sif could only stand by in this fight and watch, but she defended her home and her world as best she could, knowing whatever way their lives took them she and Thor had a bond. Sif had to free not only Loki but Thor's love Jane Foster and then hold off guards while they made good their escape.
Sif faced punishment for her actions but not so severe had the outcome not been as crucial as it was. Thor and Jane had managed to end a second dark elf uprising and the conquest that surely would have followed it. She had to respect the strength both of the love the par had shown for each other and in battle. She knew it was time she step away.
She had other duties, such as rebuilding after the dark elf invasion, and then recapture of Lorelei who had escaped during battle. Sif journeyed to Earth and sought out SHIELD, where she was stunned to see Coulson alive. She had learned of his death as they all had, and mourned him as a fallen warrior. She knew this would bring joy to many, but at the wish of Coulson she vowed not to spread the word of his survival, she understood what his sacrifice had meant.
Sif worked with the agents to track down and recapture Lorelei but not without suffering casualties along the way. The enchantress was recaptured and returned to Asgard, but this would not be the end of Sif's association with SHIELD.
When Heimdall had alerted her that a Kree had traveled to Earth, Sif donned asgardian clothing so as to better fit in and went there herself. She arrived shortly behind the alien and engaged the alien in battle. During the fight she was struck by his weapon which not only knocked her away but also caused her to lose her memory. Not knowing who or what she was, Sif wandered alone and lost until she was discovered by local police.
The police had held her with promises of information of the thing she was seeking, she could only remember the word Kava. Wisely the police had put in a call higher up and it had filtered to none other than SHIELD. Agents May and Coulson arrived to find a bedraggled and lost woman. Coulson and SHIELD helped her not only regain her memories but to track down the alien as well.
When it was revealed that the Kree in question was actually tracking down and eliminating living weapons of Kree design, the plans changed. Humans were out there with altered DNA and walking around like living breathing time bombs. One of SHIELDs own agents turned out to be one such weapon, but they promised to keep her safe and under watch and stuy to find out what had been done to her. Sif advised them that even in her time and her world there were some thing they were not meant to be known.
Sif returned home after depositing a memory wiped Kree back on his own homeworld. She faced an uncertain future, but she faced it knowing she had those she could always count on not only in Asgard but on Earth as well.
Character's personality: Sif is brave and strong, bot just in body but in spirit. She might have been a bit of a weak and vain child but that all changed when she went through training. She has a sharp mind for strategy and a keen intellect aside from that. She has a natural ability to determine the most logical course of action as well as the most likely course to be taken by others.
She has a dry wit and biting sarcasm and is never afraid to turn either on friends or foe. She feels that those who can not keep up with her can be weeded out that way She will not be unkind or brutal to them, she will just know where to hold them back to stop them from getting in over their heads.
As a friend she is loyal to her dying breath, as a warrior she is as fierce as man could be. She will fight until her last breath if that is what it takes, unlike Thor who shares such courage, she may find a way to avoid to shorten the conflict before it gets that far.
Character's skills/abilities/powers: Copied from MCU Wiki for completeness and succinctness:
Powers
Sif possesses all of the various superhuman attributes common among the Asgardians. Sif possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, durability, and is extremely long-lived.
Asgardian Physiology: As an Asgardian, Sif has superhuman abilities.

Superhuman Speed: Sif can move at high speeds. She managed to outrun a Jotunheim Beast and to stop an arrow from hitting Thor with her shield.
Superhuman Agility: Sif was able to defeat multiple Jotun and had the upper hand for most of her duel with Vin-Tak by utilizing her superior agility and balance.

However, her metabolism enables her to rapidly regenerate damaged bodily tissue with greater speed and efficiency than a human being is capable of. After Sif and the Warriors Three took a severe beating from the Destroyer, she returned to Asgard looking no worse for ware.
Longevity: Like all Asgardians, Sif ages at a rate that is much slower than that of a human being. Even though she is over one thousand years old, she still looks like a young woman by Earth standards.

Sif was stated by Thor to be one of the best warriors the Nine Realms has ever known. She was able to hold her own in battle against legions of Marauders and Frost Giants.
